Topanga Canyon

North America, Roadtrip, Travel

There’s something about Topanga Canyon. Nestled back from the iconic Malibu stretch of blue it has a feeling about it I can’t describe. Maybe it’s the colourful stories from the 1960’s which saw artists and celebrities such as Neil Young, Dennis Wilson and the notorious Manson family living here or maybe it’s the spirits of the Native American Tongva tribe who founded  and named Topanga, meaning “above”. Either way we were seduced by her magic and found oursleves right at home in this remote part of the world where lazy summer days seemed a world away from the madness.
